2015 A Positive Start

Since the start of January 2015 I have been on a slimming world eating plan to loose a bit of weight and also to eat cleaner. I was getting fed up and down about never having any energy and I was eating because or boredom. I want to state I do not attend any Slimming World groups or am I a member online so I am not means a expert in the way it all works. I have had support from forums and lots of Instagram accounts which is a brilliant way to see meal plan ideas from others.

I like that slimming world is a way of life and now I have been doing it for several weeks It is just normal for me to eat what I eat and I know that i'm being kind and considerate to my body also. Since beginning the Slimming World way I have lost 8lbs and I couldn't be happier with the results I already feel much healthier and more confident in my own skin.

As for eating the biggest change was throwing away pre made sauce mixes and making my own. My cupboards are now stocked with many herbs and it has increased my cooking ability levels and I prefer mine and my boyfriends homemade sauces much better! Another difference is oil is banned from cooking and we have switches to Fry Light. I never truly realised how many calories are in cooking oils and how bad it is for your digestion. 

I started the year well by doing a fast paced cardio workout twice a week but I have been terrible at sticking to this in February but I am determined to get back into it now we are in March it's now or never!

  1. Well done on your 8lb loss! :) I'm trying to lose weight at the moment for my summer holiday but I'm awful at sticking to it. I've thought about doing Slimming World in the past so maybe I'll look into it! I've been going running 3 times a week recently so hopefully that will help haha!

  3. Oh congratulations on your loss, that's fantastic! I've been doing Slimming World this year and lost just over a stone (that's going to the groups as well though). I think the big things that have helped for me is using FryLight, cutting out full-sugar Coke (unless it's a treat to fit into my Syns, which rarely happens), drinking less booze and getting less takeaways!

    Keep us up to date with your journey, sounds like you've got it going really well :)

  5. Well done, my goal for 2015 is to workout daily and so far I've actually been doing pretty well....although I do take weekends off haha!
